The mission of Songa Designs International is straight forward: Songa, which means “the path forward” in Swahili, exists to create jobs for skilled women in under-resourced countries so they can earn their way to economic independence. And this design company is doing just that — advancing the lives of the Rwandan women who craft this artisan collection— all the while creating stylish ecofriendly fashion and home décor.
