Jonas Elrod

Jonas Elrod is a southern writer and director who grew up in Georgia with a deep appreciation for story as a means for change. He has directed commercial work for clients including Converse and Smirnoff, and projects for Spike Lee. His first documentary feature Wake Up, which chronicles his own spiritual journey, found a broad audience and became the premiere episode on Oprah Winfrey Network’s Super Soul Sunday. He now directs and hosts a series on OWN, In Deep Shift with Jonas Elrod, intended to inspire those who are suffering, grieving, and overwhelmed find a way out of darkness and into the light.
