Dave Cannon, a fish biologist living in remote Southwest Alaska, is known to some of his colleagues as “The Don Quixote of fish biologists” because he’s on a personal crusade to save not only the fishes he cares so much about, but all of the life-sustaining ecosystems vital to mankind’s existence. He has worked for the U.S. Forest Service in Wyoming and Idaho, the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service in Wyoming and Alaska, and native organizations in rural Alaska.
